The Wichita High School East Blue Ace community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of LeAndra Poole, a former graduate, teacher, coach, and mentor whose kindness, dedication, and positive influence touched countless lives.
LeAndra was remembered as a rare and inspiring individual whose warmth and compassion could brighten even the most difficult days. She was known for her welcoming smile, encouraging words, and genuine belief in the potential of every student she encountered. Her ability to make people feel seen, valued, and supported created lasting connections with both students and colleagues.
Throughout her career as an educator and coach, LeAndra dedicated herself wholeheartedly to helping young people succeed. She consistently placed her students first, offering guidance, encouragement, and support both inside and outside the classroom. Whether teaching lessons or coaching members of the East Powerlifting team, she was a passionate advocate for her students and celebrated every achievement, big or small.
Those who worked with and learned from LeAndra remember her as more than just a teacher or coach. She was a mentor who inspired confidence, resilience, and determination. She encouraged students to overcome challenges, believe in themselves, and strive to become the best versions of who they could be.
